🍽️ Honey Lemon Chicken Skewers Recipe

⏱️ Preparation Time: 15 minutes

⏳ Marinating and Cooking Time: 1 hour (for marinating) + 15 minutes (for cooking)

Total Time: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes

🛒 Ingredients (serves 4):

600 g chicken breast (diced)
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
Juice and zest of 1 large lemon
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Skewers (preferably bamboo, soaked in water beforehand)

👩‍🍳 Preparation:

Prepare the marinade:

In a deep bowl, mix olive oil, honey, lemon juice and zest, crushed garlic, rosemary/thyme, salt, and black pepper.

Marinate the chicken:

Add the diced chicken to the marinade and mix until all sides are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (longer is fine, it will enhance the flavor).

Prepare the skewers:

Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers. Make sure the pieces are not too tightly packed so they cook evenly.

Cooking:

Grill or pan-fry the skewers over medium-high heat until golden brown on all sides, about 12-15 minutes. Turn occasionally to prevent burning.

Serving:

Serve the honey-lemon chicken skewers with a light green salad or grilled vegetables on the side. Garnish with fresh lemon slices for an elegant presentation.

Tip:

Grate Parmesan cheese over the asparagus as it comes out of the oven. Place the salmon and asparagus on a serving plate together, and if desired, add a few lemon slices for a stylish presentation.

💡 Tip:

Extending the marinating time (2-3 hours) makes the chicken softer and more aromatic. Soaking the skewers in water beforehand prevents them from burning on the grill.
